CABS would like to introduce Michelle Duong as the Creative Director on the CABS Marketing Team! Michelle grew up in Oakville, ON, but currently resides in Brampton while working in Toronto. During the school year, Michelle lives in Guelph as she is a 3rd year Marketing Management student at the University of Guelph. Michelle has 2 years of BSA experience and plans to extend this experience. She started with DECA U Guelph, representing the organization as the First Year Recruitment Coordinator, Director of Design, and briefly the Director of Marketing prior to transitioning into her current role on the Board of the Directors for DECA Ontario as Vice President, Media! She is also apart of the University of Guelph Marketing Society (UGMS), previously as the Graphic Designer and is currently the Apparel Manager. Introducing the newest addition to our CABS Management Team, Michelle Rai! Michelle will serving as our Vice President, Marketing, for the 2017 fiscal year. Calling Pickering, Ontario her home, Michelle lived in Guelph, Ontario during her time at the University of Guelph pursuing a career in marketing & advertising. She brings with her a diverse range of student leadership experience from her roles with the University of Guelph Marketing Society (2nd Year Brand Ambassador, Corporate Relations Manager, Website Manager) and the College of Business and Economics Students’ Association (Market Research/Social Media Manager, Vice President, External Affairs). Graduating this year with a major in Marketing, Michelle will be working at a media marketing agency called Hearts&Science, a media agency created solely for P&G products. Ready to take the Canadian Association of Business Students to the next level, Trevor Green will be leading the incoming CABS Management Team into the 2017 fiscal year! Growing up in the small town of Baltimore, Ontario (yes, he claims this is a real place), Trevor is just completing his Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship (Economics) at Trent University.Starting as a Director of Social Media, he has served three successive terms with the Trent Business Students’ Association, as Vice President of Communications and most recently as President. Trevor is currently living in Winnipeg, Manitoba, pursuing a career in Retail Management and Franchising with Canadian Tire with a goal of owning his own store in the not-too-distant future. Meet Jean-Philippe Allen (JP), who’ll be making the natural progression from his current role as a CABS Director of Finance to Vice President, Finance, for the 2017 fiscal year! Hailing from Saint-Anselme, Quebec, which is apparently the best place to have maple taffy and touch up on your French language skills, JP was involved in his first business case competition with Cégep in Québec City in 2011. In the same year, he took on his first executive position with a student association, eventually leading him to serve as VP Finance for the Bishop’s University Commerce Society in 2014/2015. Originally intending to study marketing, JP developed a true love for accounting and has never looked back since. His 5-year plan is to complete his CPA, work abroad, and see where that takes him! Meet Jordynne Hislop, incoming Vice President, Members & Alumni Relations, for the 2017 fiscal year! An Orillia, Ontario native, Jordynne has been involved as a member of the DAN Management Students’ Association at Western University since her first year in 2012. However, it was only in her 3rd year that she became heavily involved with her BSA in an executive role, due to her prior commitments as a varsity athlete! Currently pursuing a Human Resources Management specialization, after making a switch from Accounting, she plans to spend the next 5 years completing a M.Sc. in Management, specializing in International Business. Another Friday, another alumni feature! This week, we are proud to have Songah Chipanshi, University of Regina and Paul J. Hill School of Business alumni, sharing his undergraduate experience with us. A successful graduate and a great guy, Songah found his time in the CABS circuit to be among the most rewarding parts of his degree. Songah began his extra-curricular career on the marketing social team with the Hill Business Students’ Society (Hill BSS) . Enjoying his experience, he then became the organization’s VP Finance for 2013 – 2014, a position he juggled with commitments to his school’s council and Enactus Regina programs. If this wasn’t enough, he competed in JDC West 2014 at his home school; not only did his Business Strategy team capture 2nd place, the Hill JDC West won School of the Year!
