Student leaders work incredibly hard to create amazing value. I think more people should know about it. I have been involved with student groups (SGs) for 4 years on a local and national scale. Year over year, I see the same problem come up and I’d like to propose a solution. The Purpose of Student Groups Every SG serves a different purpose. There are some that do advocacy, others cater to a special interest group, others represent a faculty and much more. However, what they all have in common is that they exist to bring value to the members they represent or that support them. Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) has entered a two-year partnership with The Canadian Association of Business Students (CABS). CPA Canada will be the title sponsor of the 2016 and 2017 annual CABS Roundtable Conferences led by the CABS volunteer, not-for-profit organization. The week-long CABS Roundtable conference brings together business students who represent each business school’s student commerce society. Megan has worked incredibly hard to have just graduated from the University of Guelph, Bachelor of Commerce Program specialized in Management Economics and Finance. Megan was involved in the University of Guelph‘s College of Business and Economics Students’ Association (CBESA) for her last two years of University before graduating, in the roles of an Events Manager (Director Role) and Director of Marketing (Executive Role). An Orillia, Ontario native, Jordynne has been involved as a member of the DAN Management Students’ Association at Western University since her first year in 2012. However, it was only in her 3rd year that she became heavily involved with her BSA in an executive role, due to her prior commitments as a varsity athlete!
